A partnership was formed between the city’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and the state Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), which teamed up to supplement the funding necessary to construct this building. Located at 487 4th Ave, Brooklyn, it was developed in partnership with Procida with supportive services from Mercy Home. Of 44 total units, 10 units are allocated for developmentally disabled residents and the affordable units are for formerly homeless individuals. It includes an outdoor recreational area and gardens to support Mercy Home’s Plant-Grow-Give program for residents.
