Professional Background:
Beginning in childhood, Alex was a huge LEGO fan. He wanted to apply these creative skills into a future career, and the field of architecture was a good fit. In his studies, Alex found inspiration in linear and orthogonal architecture, as well as the philosophical principles of phenomenology, or how humans experience spaces through perception, memory, imagination, and emotion. Alex began working for Aufgang as a summer intern while in school for his degree in 2024, returning the following year. His education and experience gave him the foundation to become a full-time team member.
Position:
Alex develops architectural drawings, construction documents, and 3D models for new and existing projects. He coordinates and integrates information from consultants and various trades. He also assists with design development and zoning, resolves coordination issues, and helps move projects from concept through construction documentation.
Personal Life:
Alex loves technology, and plans on building his own computer for video games. He retained his collection of LEGO, with Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean as some of his favorite sets. Recently, he has been reading comics, science fiction, and fantasy novels. He has two dogs who welcome him home every day, and two wonderful parents and an older sister who have supported him and pushed him to do his best all his life.
