20 Bruckner was once an industrial building in the 1800s called the Ruppert Ice House and is now the new home for DREAM Charter School. It was also locally known as "The History Channel Building" because of the distinctive billboard on the roof that's visible from the highway. The billboard now looms over the school's rooftop turf field.
After an extensive gut rehab and renovation in partnership with MADDD Equities, the building now provides classrooms from Pre-K to high school. It includes two cafeterias, a gymnasium, and a custom urban graffiti mural by Tats Cru. The building also features two glass light wells that open the interior to natural sunlight.
